Children and Their Mothers

by Hans Reich.  This is a beautiful hardback book of artistic black and white photographs of babies with their mothers from all over the world.

Amazing pictures of international women breastfeeding their nurslings.

I couldn't find a picture from this book to post as an example, but here is one Reich took for a similar book about fathers.  His work is striking and very memorable.  If you love babies of every hue, you will adore this book!

This is a perfect gift for your new client, especially if she approaches you for doula services early in her pregnancy.  As a way of advertising your services, buy a few and give them to a local midwife or OB to hand out with your business card taped on the cover.
